Model 3235 High Frequency Response Analyzer (.01 Hz to 35 MHz)

Venable continues to expand the 3200 series with the 35 MHz Frequency Response Analyzer. Venable's Model 3235 continues our new concept in test instrumentation. The Model 3235 combines the latest analog and digital technology with advanced digital signal processing to provide versatile test and analysis functions. The Model 3215 combines the latest analog and digital technology with advanced digital signal processing to provide versatile test and analysis functions. Model 3120 Frequency Response Analyzer (.01 Hz to 2.2 MHz)

The Model 3120 FRA, introduced in 2002, continues to offer the most economical solution to loop stability analysis on the market. Outperforming the competition with 500Vpk, auto-ranging, floating and isolated inputs channels, the 3120 provides the design engineer with the confidence of making difficult or high voltage measurements without the possibility of a catastrophic failure due to overranging.

Model 350 Frequency Response Analyzer (100 µHz to 2.2 MHz)

The Model 350 is the flagship of the Venable hardware capability. It is the only 3 channel FRA on the market with floating and isolated inputs to 300Vpk. The Model 350's robust design and stable configuration when used with Venable software, allows consistent test results for modeling analog circuits, plotting the analysis results, specify design changes, testing the frequency response of actual hardware, and then overlaying model and results. The 350 is ideal for control loop stability, filter design, circuit analysis, and impedance testing. With a frequency range from 100 µHz to 2.2 MHz and 3 channel capability is well suited for the Research & Development Labs or production environments. By applying a sinusoidal perturbation to the system under test, the three input channels measure and calculate gain and phase as a function of frequency. Unique Venable software allows any one of the three input channels to "servo" or dynamically adjust the signal generator waveform amplitude to insure a sufficient signal level to measure, or to keep from overdriving the UUT.

Bode Boxes

Venable offers a wide range of signal injection transformers, along with a special noise reducing balun. Our injection transformers accurately couple an oscillator signal into a feedback loop with minimum distortion and/or capacitive coupling. These transformers are designed to have low magnetizing current and flat coupling over the specified frequency ranges. Thanks to the sine correlation design of Venable FRAs, our bode boxes are able to provide good results up to two decades of frequency above and one decade below the specified optimum frequency band. We call this the "usable frequency range". The output impedance over the specified ranges is less than 10 ohms, except for the models 200-004/5 which has a constant output impedance of 100 ohms and the 2 15-000 which has an output impedance of 150 ohms.

RLC Measurement Set

Perform accurate measurement of resistor, inductor and capacitor values easily with your Venable 350 FRA. RLC measurement is one of the many uses of the Venable Frequency Response Analysis Systems. The RLC Measurement Package greatly enhances this function by providing a hardware fixture and special software for measuring values of resistors, inductors, and capacitors, and values of one or two additional parasitic elements. For example, the user can simultaneously measure the capacitance, ESR, and ESL of a capacitor.

Input/Output Impedance Measuring Set

Venable's Input/Output Impedance Test Set enables input and output impedance measurements of any power supply (or almost anything else for that matter). The Input/Output Impedance Test Set consists of a high power, 4-quadrant VLA100 Venable Linear Amplifier and power injection transformer. The injection transformer is capable of handling large amounts of DC current while still coupling an AC signal into the circuit.
